Tea Infuser – Stainless Steel | Lifetime Infuser

$15.00

This hardy infuser is perfect for your pot or cup.

Tiny laser cut holes create a strainer that feels smooth, allowing it to hold the finest of teas including rooibos or even broken chamomile – an impossible feat for standard mesh infusers.

There’s a reason this is the only infuser we stock. It’s simple, easy to clean, and will outlast any tea ball tongs or chain infusers.

The strainer has a diameter of 6cm but the rim and handle extends it to fit into pots or jugs up to 8cm wide.

Description

Tea Infuser – Stainless Steel

The only tea infuser we have allowed in our business for the last six years. It is New Farm’s favourite infuser. This simple design is no fuss, no gimmick, and provides a perfect cup of tea every time. The whimsy of adorable infusers is not lost on us – but they are often small, constrained spaces for high quality tea. As such, they compromise the integrity of the infusion which is unacceptable – no matter how cute. This generous infuser can comfortably hold 1 – 3 teaspoons of tea. This means it can work as a single cup infuser, or up to a 1.2 litre pot. On a utilitarian level it is, literally, all you’ll ever need. The only catch is they’re so nifty, you may find yourself wanting more than one.

Brisbane tea store Tour de Tea independently sources the finest tea-wares and accessories, determinedly seeking out special and unique tea homewares for Australian tea lovers.

At the heart of Tour de Tea’s homewares curation, lies a profound appreciation for functional art – the belief that everyday objects can embody both beauty and practicality. Tour de Tea respectfully but vehemently rejects the notion of division between utility and artistry, instead embracing tea-ware that transforms the ordinary into the meaningful. Each teapot or teacup is selected not only for its craftsmanship, but for its ability to transform an everyday ritual of tea into a moment where the senses and soul become thoroughly nourished. Artistry thrives in objects meant to be held, used, and cherished over time.

Tour de Tea’s guiding principles (both professionally and personally) embody the Japanese aesthetic concept of yo no bi (よのび – beauty in utility), where form harmonises with function in a way that affords a magical gravitas to ordinary domestic experiences. We curate homewares that invite contemplation through tactile qualities, subtle elegance, or occasionally – visual splendour.

Our Brisbane tea store cultivates an appreciation for slow, intentional design via homewares, and slow, intentional ritual via tea drinking. Our teacups, tea canisters, and teapots are not static display pieces but companions. They are objects with soul, threading to our lives as they bear witness and contribute beauty to our private existence. In this way, Tour de Tea defines something as simple as this tea infuser as a invitation for connection: to admire different cultural traditions, to craftsmanship, and to the quiet joy of simplicity.
